Graduation Celebration: Five Snack Table Ideas For Your Grad's Party

Graduation Celebration- Five Snack Table Ideas For Your Grad's PartyThe end of the school year is fast approaching, and that means it's time for another group of kids to head out into the world as adults. If your child is graduating this year, you are probably filled with bittersweet emotions. After all, it is hard to watch your baby grow up. Looking back on their accomplishments thus far can quickly fill you with pride.

With the excitement of the approaching graduation day growing, you may also be feeling overwhelmed by all that has to be done. From finding the perfect outfit to planning the big celebration, there is a lot to accomplish in the next couple of weeks.

One of the biggest tasks you must face is putting together an acceptable spread of snacks for your grad's big day. You don't want your guests going hungry or thirsty, and a memorable, fun setup is a must-have.

Diploma Cookies

This adorable snack is incredibly simple to put together. Simply buy a good number of pirouette cookies and tie a bit of ribbon around each one. Present these on a tray with a small sign reading "Sweet Success" or "Class of 2017" or something else similar.

Mortarboard Chocolates

Let's face it, mortarboard hats are not very cute—that is, unless they are in chocolate form. These sweet treats are fun to make, cute to look at, and delicious to eat.

Start by unwrapping a package of Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Cups. Turn the peanut butter cups upside down and add a square of chocolate to the "bottom" (now top) of each one using a small amount of icing. Finish the treats off by sticking a small string of yellow sour candy and a brown M&M to the top of the chocolate square using the icing mentioned above.

Display these sweet treats on a plate or tray for guests to nibble on.

Class Ring Pops

Add a bit of silly to your snack table by putting out a box of Ring Pops. Add a sign next to the box to let people know they are "Class Rings." Your guests are sure to get a kick out of this little touch.

Kiddie Pool Drink Holder

Finding your beverage of choice in an ice chest can sometimes seem impossible. Avoid this frustration and help your party guests do the same by putting all drinks in a small kiddie pool filled with ice. This makes finding drinks easy while still keeping them nice and cold.

Baby Banner Backdrop

Of course, no snack table is complete without some decor, and no graduation party is complete without a few humiliating baby pictures. Create a funny backdrop banner for your snack table with old childhood pictures and a bit of creativity.

Begin by enlarging all the pictures so the grad's face is about the same size in each one. Cut the faces out and use construction paper to add fun, colorful party hats. Glue the decorated baby pictures to a piece of ribbon and hang the ribbon behind your snack table for all to admire and giggle at. For an extra bit of fun, you can also add to the banner the age the grad was when each picture was taken.

While you may want to add some savory snacks to the sweet treats and clever ideas above, we think this collection will be enough to get you started. Take these ideas, elaborate on them, add some of your own, and enjoy making graduation memories to last a lifetime.
